Free school meals, eligibility and how to apply

Read the following to see if your child is eligible for free school meals, if they are then follow the link below to sign up. It’s a straightforward and completely anonymous process.

Additional Information

  • The process should take no longer than 10 minutes.
  • To complete this form you will need both you and your partner’s National Insurance Number or NASS (National Asylum Support Service) number.
 
After you have applied
  • We will be contacted 48 hours after your application is complete to determine when your child’s free school meal entitlement will begin. 
  • Kirklees will send you a letter usually within 5 working days confirming the start date.
