Transition Week
The week started with an introduction from Mrs Pickles and an explanation of some of the activities that students would get to experience. In this post we will show some of the highlights.
Transition students received a tour of the school from some of our Senior students who also helped in leading sessions and explaining what All Saints is like to attend.

As a treat, year 6 got a preview of the rock bands performance for the ‘Celebration of the Arts’ evening that took place on Tuesday night.
With the lay chaplain students got involved in creating freeze frames based on Catholic Social Teaching learning how important it is to care for each other and all of God’s creation.
In DT, students produced some great fabric badges for the Year of Jubilee “Pilgrims of Hope” focusing on how the doors we can open in our everyday lives can be holy doors of hope.

In Science, the year 6 transition students were given the very important task of discovering who stole the science departments beloved biscuits. To do this they used their new skills of chromatography and pH testing to learn the identity of the biscuit stealing mastermind!

As we come to the close of a successful transition week, we want to thank all of the students who visited and praise them for their excellent behaviour. We look forward to seeing you again in September. If you have any questions or need any further guidance relating to September please fill in the form on our Contact Us page.
